Position Overview

Are you looking for a position which contributes to patient, visitor, and staff safety and wellness and enables you to play a key role in maintaining the beauty of a historically significant campus?

The Facilities Compliance Coordinator at McLean Hospital provides a variety of administrative support services to maintain all aspects of Joint Commission and other regulatory compliance documentation and ensure smooth facility operations.

Key Responsibilities

Document generation, maintenance, and review :

  • Maintains accurate, searchable facility maintenance records and files for all McLean campuses related to Joint Commission, OSHA, etc.
  • Independently monitors department / organizational compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborates with the Director of Facilities Maintenance and the Sr Environmental Health and Safety Officer to review and update policies on an annual basis.
  • Has primary responsibility for drafting quarterly reports for the Safety & Maintenance Committee meetings.
  • Prioritizes resources to enable efficient department operations.
  • Seeks ways to improve compliance and reduce busywork.
  • Notify manager if any area(s) are at risk for non-compliance.

Other assignments :

  • Accompanies vendors and / or inspectors as needed throughout the facility to ensure patient and vendor safety.
  • Provides back-up coverage for the following administrative tasks : phone triageeBuy purchasingUKG timekeepingvendor schedulingteam scheduling
  • Provides accurate and complete information to technicians. Enters notable information to department work order software. Assists with work order software maintenance.

    Qualifications

    Position Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; will accept experience in lieu of a diploma
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Valid driver's license
  • Previous Work Experience

  • 2 - 3 years administrative work experience required; 3-5 years preferred experience
  • 1 - 2 years health care experience preferred
  • Any relevant work experience which demonstrates the ability to work with others, use computers, and juggle multiple tasks.
