About the Job

South Okanagan General Hospital is an active, rural hospital serving Oliver, Osoyoos, and surrounding areas, with an average of 16,000 emergency visits per year. It has 7 emergency beds and 18 acute‑care beds that often operate at 100% capacity, a co‑located 80‑bed long‑term care facility, and outpatient lab services.

Medical Laboratory Assistants perform a variety of duties including : taking blood and specimen samples; preparing specimens for analysis; distributing specimens to departments and external labs; operating related equipment; entering data into the Laboratory Information System (LIS); and performing clerical duties and ECG testing as required.

This is a Casual opportunity
