reviewed and completed.
Complete weekly employee schedules to meet the needs of the business.Direct employees to ensure that they are making customers feel welcome by providing professionalcustomer service at all times.
Provide thorough and accurate knowledge of meat products and services.Address special situations or requests and customer concerns / complaints efficiently and effectively.Complete customer orders and make recommendations to customers on various items and complete customerpurchases.
Share knowledge of different meat cooking techniques with customers and employees.Perform merchandising activities to enhance appeal of products and maximize sales by preparing displaysof meat, maintaining self and full service displays, and determining amount and freshness of products.
Ensure quality of products by conducting quality control measures, performing inspections and adheringto company standards.
Ensure employees are following all health, safety and cleanliness standards.Ensure proper food storage and follow Food & Safety regulations and guidelines.Order products as per process, requirements and direction from buyer.Physically making meat and seafood items according to standardized written recipes and processes forpreparing, assembling, and mixing fresh ingredients. Preparation includes a variety of steps that may
include : marinating, seasoning, cutting, chopping, slicing, and mixing meats, produce, and other food
products together as indicated within the standardized recipes.
If needed, participate in food product recall processEnsure work surfaces are clean and properly disinfected and tolls and equipment are sanitized.Practice safe food handling procedures at all times.Store received product as required to meet Food Safety regulations.Comply with legislation / regulations at all times.Effectively communicate product knowledge to team members.Minimize out of stock and overstock to ensure fresh merchandise.Monitors temperature of cases, shelves and storage areas and reports any failures to the Store Manager.Other duties as assigned by management to meet business needs.Job Requirements : Skills & Knowledge
Minimum of 2 to 3 years working and managing a meat department.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong organizational skills.Excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building and leadership skills.Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness.Knowledge of different cuts of meats as well as cooking procedures.Previous knowledge of using various equipment, such as grinders, scales, wrapping machines, saws andknives.
Proper knife handling skills.Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.Skilled at working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining priorities and a high level ofperformance.
Working Conditions
Walking and standing for extended periods of time.Able to bend, squat and lift occasionally.Able to lift up to approximately 50 lbs.Will be exposed to limited cold temperatures from freezer / cooler area.
