Occupational Therapist, Regional Pain Program (224636)

Reporting to the Manager with professional and clinical support from the Manager Pain Program and working without general supervision within an inter-professional chronic disease management framework the Occupational Therapist-Pain Program with the Pain Program inter-disciplinary team assesses plans implements plans and evaluates plans for patients/clients with chronic pain. Responsible for planning and implementing patient education materials and sessions referral to community resources and setting up ongoing self-management and rehabilitation plans for patients/clients.

Graduation from a recognized university program in Occupational Therapy. Current licensure in a practicing category with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC as an Occupational Therapist. Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT). Two (2) years recent related experience in tertiary level care chronic pain management/rehabilitation or an combination of education training and experience.
