• This temporary position is located in 214 W Jones Street Raleigh, Wake Countywith the
• Department of Adult Correction (DAC).
• Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay : $32.00 (Based on education and / or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).
• Effective July 1, 2025, candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they have the minimum education and experience listed from the class specification. • Management Preferences :
• Research Design and Implementation (30%)
• Assist the Research team to develop and implement research studies that align with the Department's strategic objectives
• Contribute to the design of research protocols, including data collection tools, and analysis plans
• Assist with conducting qualitative data collection through interviews, surveys, focus groups, observations and document analysis
• Ensure data integrity and adherence to ethical standards throughout the research process Data Analysis and Interpretation (30%)
• Analyze quantitative and / or qualitative data using appropriate methodologies Utilize data analysis software (e g , R, Python, NVivo) to manage and analyze data
• Interpret findings to provide actionable insights and recommendations for policy and program improvements Research Design, Implementation, Analysis, and Technical Assistance (20%)
• Collaborate with the Research Manager to support Department stakeholders with research, training and technical assistance
• Ensure ethical and informed practices are followed for survey research activities, Reporting and Dissemination (I0%)
• Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations that effectively communicate qualitative research findings to diverse audiences, including senior leadership, policymakers, and external partners
• Collaborate with the Research Manager to publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals, present at conferences and contribute to relevant forums
• Develop executive summaries and policy briefs to highlight key findings and recommendations
• Minimum Education and Experience
