Work environment
The Parliamentary Protective Service (PPS) is a separate and distinct organization and is not subject to the Public Service Employment Act. PPS has its own classification, compensation system and staffing regime. Persons appointed to PPS continue to be part of the federal government and will receive the public service pension plan and public service insurance benefits plan.

Intent of the process
The purpose of this recruitment and selection process is to establish a pool of qualified and / or partially qualified candidates to staff two (2) positions for a one (1) year period with a possibility of extension.
The pool may also be used in the future to staff similar positions within the PPS and for other organizations.

EXPERIENCE : E1 – Recent
E2 – Significant
E3 – Experience participating in working groups, collaborating and maintaining a network with internal and external stakeholders.
DEFINITIONS :
KNOWLEDGE :
K1 – Knowledge of Government of Canada security controls, lead security and intelligence agencies of the federal government, other orders of government and the
private sector.

ASSETS
EDUCATION : Professional certification in industry frameworks (NIST, ISO etc.).
You must be prepared to provide the original or a certified true copy of your educational credentials.
EXPERIENCE : E1 – Recent
AE2 – Experience working in identifying and assessing security awareness and training requirements.
AE3 – Experience working within a federal institution including separated agencies and crown corporations.
