Perform light housekeeping for clients in their home, including cleaning living areas, vacuuming, mopping floors, laundry, dishwashing, and morePlan, prepare and serve mealsProvide companionship and develop professional relationships with clientsAssist with walking and stabilizationCommunicate with members of the health team regarding the client’s homemaking, physical, and emotional needs to assist with the development of the client care planComplete environmental risk assessmentsMaintain focus of client independence, health status, safety, and quality of lifeWhat we need from you
A high school diploma or equivalent is requiredCurrent CPR and First Aid certification is requiredSafe Food Handler and WHIMIS certification is requiredExperience working with seniors and persons with disabilities preferredExperience working for a professional cleaning services organization preferredCustomer service experience preferredExperience working with people from different social and economic environments preferredA valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle is requiredA current and original copy of a satisfactory Criminal Records Check and Child Abuse Registry Check is required. A Vulnerable Sector Search may also be requiredMust be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Willingness to travel within the site’s service areaWorking conditions and physical demands : This role requires a detail-oriented approach in a dynamic environment, with physical activity including lifting, carrying (using proper techniques), bending, reaching, kneeling, and other movements that emphasize good body mechanics. Individuals in the role are required to walk, sit, stand, and climb stairs throughout the day, with some tasks requiring fine hand movements.
