Procurement Country Manager

Location : Thornhill, Ontario

Job Description

Procurement Manager will be responsible for implementing procurement strategies in close cooperation with multiple stakeholders across the business and ensuring Global Procurement alignment. The individual will manage the end-to-end Procurement cycle and negotiate with suppliers. Along with the Procurement cycle, the individual will also be responsible for supplier management and contract management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain procurement policies and procedures, while ensuring global alignment
  • Build the communication and training plan to increase awareness to stakeholder on Procurement process and deploy the objective and expectation
  • Source, negotiate, contract and prepare agreements to fulfill day-to-day business needs
  • Process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders in accordance to company policies and procedures
  • Prepare and administer bids, requests for quote, requests for proposal, requests for information and other vendor documentation
  • Review vendor quotations and perform cost comparison and identify potential cost efficiencies opportunities
  • Coordinate and track the assessment and evaluation of suppliers and undertake performance reviews to ensure contract compliance and manage performance improvement activities
  • Ensure the implementation and tracking of performance indicators and achieved results. Provide regular reports and updates to local, regional and / or global
  • Understand internal stakeholders' strategies / priorities and translate that into needs, and integrate the information into procurement category strategies
  • Ensure the timely provision of procurement provided financial planning data including budget planning for the functional costs and all savings, price forecasts and cost impacts across all categories needed
  • Collaborate with respective owners on development and administration of policies and programs to ensure alignment with procurement guidelines (e.g Travel Policy, Fleet Policy).

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or Supply Chain Management
  • 5-7 year progressive indirect procurement experience, specifically experience with vendor negotiations, contract management and / or strategic sourcing
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization and with external stakeholders.
