We are currently seeking an exceptional customer service professional to join us as a Buyer II
As the leading supply chain solutions business in the aerospace industry Customers are at the heart of our business.
Buyer II is accountable for applying a clear and accurate understanding of the policies and procedures for purchasing products in support of requirements to successfully satisfy sales orders obtained by the Sales and Customer Program departments. The Buyer II will review incoming purchase requisitions for routine and non-routine purchases and contracts; identify approved suppliers; obtain quotes (RFQ's) for competitive bidding; and award the purchase order in support of business plans and strategic objectives to meet company procurement standards and philosophies; as well as assist in the training of less experienced buyers under the guidance of Buyer III and / or department manager.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience of purchasing practices and procedures, as listed above, with 1 year of Wesco purchasing experience, preferred Strong knowledge of Wesco commodities or aerospace parts is preferred Proven skills in interpreting basic to general technical specifications and bids Demonstrated experience in the skill of establishing and maintaining positive and effective working relationships Ability to train and motivate less experienced personnel to excellence.

Qualifications
Educated to National Vocational (NVQ) Level 3 or equivalent EU High School Diploma or GED, with five years of relative industry experience is required; certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) credential is preferred, OR Bachelor's degree in related field AND one year of buying experience; and / or any equivalent combination of experience and / or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
