Job Description : What you'll do
Mentoring and leading a team of software engineers and data engineers varying from Level 1 experience to Level 4 as we journey from old technologies to cloud and full stack.
Provide Business and Technical support to customers using Python, JAVA, React, SQL and Google Cloud solutions.
Work with cloud-native technologies, combining the modern technologies, practices, and products into a cohesive platform to enable world-leading software development.
You will participate in large-scale projects involving a number of backend, web, and wireline applications, all structured around Agile practices and a DevOps culture.
What you bring
5+ years proven hands-on software development experience with Java based Micro-services framework and implementation, Spring framework, Hibernate framework, SQL etc.
Proficient in Python, JAVA, React, SQL, and Google Cloud
Knowledge of API development, as well as building Representational State Transfer (REST) & JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) APIs
3+ years Public cloud preferable GCP(AWS, GCP, Azure)
Container platforms (GKE, EKS, OpenShift)
Load Balancers, Firewalls
CICD - Continuous Integration / Delivery (GitHub Actions, GCP Cloud Build, Spinnaker, Jenkins)
Owning and automating the backend and API DevOps lifecycle (Python, Java, Go, etc.) Site reliability engineering practices
Advanced technical and analytical skills, confident in making and owning technical decisions and problem resolution / troubleshooting
Advanced ability to lead and collaborate with a variety of diverse groups and technical teams (internal and / or external)
Creative approach to problem solving and an ability to work independently in an environment with high levels of ambiguity
Ability to manage key deliverables as part of an extended team
Commitment to continuous improvement and reducing time to market providing best-in-class support
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; confident with presenting material to peers and senior management

Proficiency in French speaking and writing is an asset
Multi- or Hybrid-cloud architectures
Big Data & Analytics – Kafka, Hadoop, Cloud Storage and Cloud SQL, Big Query, DataFlow, Pub / Sub, etc.
Practical knowledge of Open Authorization (OAuth) servers, SQL (any dialect) Cloud computing & PaaS modern API technologies
Customer service experience
Preferred Qualifications
University / college diploma in Computer Science or 5 years of relevant knowledge / experience
Effectively build solutions with Linux-based systems
Proficient with web protocols : Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP), Transport Layer Security (TLS), etc
Experience with Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS)
Code versioning tools such as Git, Subversion (SVN), etc
