Overview
Our government client in Winnipeg, MB is looking for an ABAP Cloud Developer resource for a 24-month contract (an initial 6 mth contract with an extension option of an additional 18 months) reference 29954-RFR-DTS-049. The position is preferred to be onsite in Winnipeg, MB but remote will be considered.
What you will be doing
- Reporting directly to the IT Services Manager, the ABAP Cloud Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and efficient solutions within the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), with a focus on ABAP Cloud development.
- This role supports the organization’s digital transformation initiatives by delivering high-quality, cloud ready applications that align with business requirements and SAP best practices.
- The developer collaborates closely with functional teams, business analysts, and other technical staff to ensure seamless integration, performance optimization, and continuous improvement of SAP systems.
What you must have
Experience and proficiency using Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, TEAMS).Experience with SAP S / 4 HANA, ECC, and other SAP modules.Proficiency in ABAP, RAP, and CDS views.Experience with SAP BTP, CAP, SAP Fiori / UI5 and SAP Business Application Studio.Strong understanding of SAP CPI, APIs (REST, SOAP), IDocs.Experience with Git, gCTS, transport management, CI / CD pipelines, and Cloud ALM.Skills in building CDS analytical views, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and using embedded analytics in S / 4HANA.Minimum 5 years in similar role.A post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.Excellent problem-solving skills / troubleshoot with keen attention to detail.Strong communication skills with ability to communicate clearly both verbally and written.Demonstrated interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams : build and maintain positive relationships with co-workers, direct reports, and stakeholders.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Experience working in a public sector environment.Nice to have
