Director, Supplier Relations

Uniglobe Travel International (global head office) has an opening for someone experienced in the travel industry to manage our supplier partnerships and promote our supplier usage with Uniglobe agencies and Regions.

About You

You have experience in a travel agency or an airline. You are organized, communicate well and are great at building and maintaining relationships. You are comfortable in Excel and reviewing supplier performance data.

About the Role

The Director of Supplier Relations will manage supplier partnerships for Uniglobe Travel USA and Uniglobe Travel International. The role is a mix of relationship, communication, planning, data review, and agency support. They will have responsibility for the US airline and car suppliers, global hotel suppliers and various other global vendors. The focus will be on partnerships that are relevant to our agencies' corporate travel offerings, but will also cover leisure on occasion.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day engagement with suppliers
• Negotiate preferred agreements with suppliers and review contracts for approval
• Maintain supplier information pages on Uniglobe intranet
• Communicate to agencies about key supplier news and program changes
• Review supplier data performance reports and proactively engage with agencies that are underperforming
• Answer agency commission inquiries
• Intermediate / facilitate agency support requests to suppliers to ensure they are valid and well communicated
• Engage with agencies to assist in their supplier usage strategy
• Identify gaps in the Uniglobe partner portfolio, research and recommend additional suppliers

Requirements

This role would ideally be based in Vancouver, with an expectation to be in our downtown office approximately twice per week. For more experienced candidates, we are willing to consider a fully remote candidate who would travel to the Vancouver office on occasion.

Salary range is $70k‑$90k based on experience.
