Financial Analyst - Entry Level

We are looking for an entry-level Financial Analyst to join our team in Ottawa, Ontario, on a long-term contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to contribute to the financial operations of a respected non-profit organization. The role involves handling diverse financial tasks and supporting key processes to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.

Responsibilities :

• Reconcile expense accounts to ensure accuracy and proper allocation of funds.
• Assist in preparing schedules and documentation for audits and financial reviews.
• Support the development and analysis of financial reports and budgets.
• Utilize accounting software systems to perform financial analysis and reporting tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Conduct data mining and analysis to extract meaningful insights for decision-making.
• Provide ad hoc financial support on various projects as needed.
• Maintain and update CRM systems related to financial data and reporting.
• Contribute to the organization's budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting using tools such as Crystal Reports.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis or a related field.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems, including experience with QuickBooks.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial reporting tools.
• Experience with CRM systems and Crystal Reports is an asset.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform ad hoc financial tasks.
• Knowledge of data mining techniques and their application in financial analysis.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills to work effectively in a team environment.
