Fuze HR Solution s is actively interviewing for a Production Supervisor position in Woodbridge, ON, with a well-established manufacturer. As a Production Supervisor , overseeing the production team and ensuring the daily goals and KPIs are met. You will be responsible for optimizing efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and enhancing customer satisfaction. Your duties and responsibilities include :

Salary : $85,000 – $100,000

Shift : Continental from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM and 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM Rotates every two weeks

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Supervise Production Team : Lead and manage the production team members to meet daily production goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Asset Management : Monitor and control production assets, including equipment, employees, and raw materials, to continuously improve efficiency, product quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Equipment and Process Improvement : Review and recommend changes to machinery, equipment, production systems, and work methods to enhance overall production efficiency.
  • Reporting : Promptly report any deficiencies in systems, facilities, machinery, equipment, or tools to the Plant Manager or Production Superintendent.
  • Quality Control : Record and report product damage or nonconformities to the Plant / Production Superintendent and Quality Supervisor, ensuring compliance with Quality Control policies and procedures.
  • Efficiency Improvement : Participate and contribute to efforts aimed at enhancing production efficiency.
  • Communication : Maintain effective communication with administrative, plant, and supervisory staff as required.
  • Safety and Compliance : Ensure safety on the shift, adhere to policies, rules, and collective agreements, and apply them fairly and consistently.
  • Training : Provide and participate in training as necessary.
  • Compliance : Comply with divisional rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Metrics and Targets : Collaborate in developing metrics to track progress and improvement efforts and work towards achieving set targets.
  • Crew Engagement : Encourage crew engagement and participation in ongoing plant improvement processes, safety meetings, and other projects.
  • Ethical Leadership : Lead by example in line with the company’s Code of Business Ethics and Workplace Harassment / Discrimination Policy.
  • Other Duties : Perform any other duties assigned by the Plant Manager or Production Superintendent.
  • Qualifications :

  • Five or more years of related supervisory experience, within a fast paced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with manual manufacturing processes or fabrication processes.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment with excellent communication skills for a diverse workforce.
  • Experience in a unionized environment and familiarity with working with unionized employees is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Experience setting up and operating Machine Operators, Plastic Welders, Fabricator Benders, and Fabricator Pullers is beneficial.
