The Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced FP&A Consultant to support a high-impact acquisition integration. This is a 6-month contract opportunity, working closely with both the acquiring company’s FP&A team and the newly acquired business to build a robust financial planning function from the ground up. The role requires deep expertise in consumer packaged goods (CPG), financial modelling, and inventory management, as well as strong stakeholder management skills to navigate the complexities of a PE-backed acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a 2026 Business Plan : Build a detailed financial plan for the fiscal year April 2025-March 2026
- Prepare a 5-Year Strategic Plan : Work with stakeholders to create long-term financial models
- P&L Integration & Alignment : Reconstruct and standardize the acquired company’s financial statements to align with corporate reporting requirements
- Financial Modelling & Validation : Review and refine the financial models developed during the acquisition due diligence, ensuring accuracy and providing deeper insights.
- Stakeholder Engagement : Work closely with key executives, the private equity team, and finance leaders to integrate financial processes and reporting structures
- Inventory & Cost Analysis : Assess cost of goods, product profitability, and margin analysis for a company that imports finished goods and manages inventory
Your Background & Expertise
8+ years of FP&A experience, ideally within a consumer packaged goods (CPG) environmentAdvanced Excel modeling skills, with a strong ability to build financial models from scratchStrong understanding of inventory management and cost of goods sold (COGS) within a distribution-based business modelExperience in M&A integration and working with PE-backed companiesProven ability to align P&L structures between two organizations and prepare consolidated financial statementsStrong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams and company culturesExperience working with QuickBooks and Excel-based financial reporting (familiarity with IFRS is an asset)Next Steps :
