Pertinent Information : Full-time, direct hire role. The Construction Manager oversees multiple projects and works closely with Site Superintendents and Foremans to ensure safe and successful completion of large scale construction projects. All project sites are within 10-15 minutes of the the office. This role requires someone to reside in the Windsor-Essex area – it is not a travel role.

Job Description
The Construction Manager is responsible for providing supervision for the coordination of all phases and trades for construction projects, including coordinating subcontractors, material, and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. The Construction Manager shall ensure adherence to schedules, budgets, inspections, quality assurance & control, and job site safety.
Responsibilities to include the following, but not limited to :
- Monitor project schedules to ensure they are on track, within budget and allocated the necessary resources required to meet deadlines.
- Determine labour requirements and dispatch workers to construction sites.
- Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations.
- Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients, representing the owner or developer.
- Supervise the preparation and submittal of budget estimates, progress, and cost tracking reports.
- Oversight and management of Contractors and Supplier EHOS compliance at construction sites.
- Enforce continuous daily communication from all sites : daily reports, meeting minutes, photos, incident reports, scheduling updates, resources planning and requirement.
- Ensures development and implementation of project specific quality assurance & quality control plans.
- Take actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction site.
- Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
- Analyze project specifications to determine best value construction means & methods.
- Oversee together with Project Management requisitions of supplies, materials, and equipment necessary to complete construction of projects.
- Drive and instill a group culture of safety that embraces continuous improvement.
- Ensure company’s policy for onsite PPE & ToolBox talk EHS program across all construction sites.
- Prepare and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
- Monitor compliance with safety procedures.
- Draft inspection reports to document inspection findings

Qualifications
Degree / Diploma in Construction Management, or related field preferredMinimum five (5) years experience in a construction management roleStrong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulationsExcellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsProficiency in project management software and construction toolsAbility to manage multiple projects and meet deadlinesProfessional certification (e.g., CCM, PMP, LEED) is a plusOSHA safety training or certificationExperience with budgeting, scheduling, and contract negotiation
