Systems Analyst and Report Developer
Hybrid: (One day a week on site)
Ottawa, Ontario Canada.
Security clearance required or able to get one though us. (5 years plus)
One year contract

Our client is moving their SAS EG projects to an (EDP) Enterprise Data Platform to align with their data and analytics strategy. They are also consolidating and automating their existing reports. This will result in them producing fewer reports monthly. They require the contractor to be able to understand existing SAS EG projects and to replace them with Denodo views or leverage standardized data sets from our EDP.
Primary Responsibilities
· Determines the best source of information to suit the users’ needs and develops queries and reports.
· Provides analysis of query/report output for clients and/or conducts statistical analyses, interprets results, and drafts reports to explain findings.
· Represents the client and their needs when dealing with data platform issues and helps to evaluate, select, evaluate, and optimize both hardware and software products.
· Identifies data integrity issues and determine feasible solutions and maintains documentation, templates, procedures, processes, building codes, and standards relating to data.
· Performs all aspects of the data lifecycle management including consulting with business users to articulate requirements, translating the requirements into viable solutions, testing and deployment of solutions

Skills
Top Skills Required:
• Experience with developing Dashboards in Power BI
• Experience writing SQL queries (Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle)
• Knowledge of Data Transformation tools

Other Skills Required:
• Advanced data analysis skills
Assets:
• Experience with Data virtualization software, such as Denodo
• Experience with Data Transformation tools, such as Databricks or DataStage
• Experience using R and/or Python.
• Experience with SAS Enterprise Guide
