Senior Financial Analyst - External Reporting

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst – External Reporting based out of Markham, ON (Hybrid). Reporting to the Manager of Financial Reporting, this position will play a key role in external financial reporting for subsidiaries of Xplore under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). This role will be responsible for the preparation of external financial statements and underlying working papers, and work closely with external auditors for the annual audits.

In order to be successful in this role, you should have experience with technical accounting under IFRS, external auditing experience from a public accounting firm, and exposure to the preparation of external financial statements. Exceptional project and time management, clear communication, accuracy, attention to detail, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential to fulfill this role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and draft external consolidated, combined and standalone IFRS compliant financial statements and note disclosures for subsidiaries of Xplore.
• Work closely with external auditors, finance team members and other departments during annual audits by external auditors.
• Prepare certain month end entries and reconciliations for complex accounting transactions related to Xplore subsidiaries.
• Prepare project level financial reporting and project reporting required by external stakeholders.
• Coordinate and communicate with external stakeholders and internal teams to fulfill operational reporting and other requirements related to specific projects.
• Other ad-hoc analyses and tasks as assigned.
