Founded in 2010, the Waldorf Independent School of Edmonton (WISE) is a solidly established and growing school that fosters an environment where the whole child (head, hands and heart) is nourished. The school is supported by a vibrant and caring group of teachers and parents, serving children from kindergarten to grade 9. The individual must be passionate about, and or interested in learning and implementing Waldorf pedagogy. In‑house mentoring is also provided. - Bachelor of Education Degree
- Must have a current Alberta Teaching Certificate
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi‑task with confidence
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Creativity and independence in lesson planning skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience or interest in teaching music or art is an asset
- Waldorf knowledge and experience is preferred, however training is also available.

Salary And Benefits

The starting salary $60,000+ per year for full‑time role, commensurate with experience and additional training.Employees working 0.5 FTE or greater are eligible for the WESE Employee Health Benefits Program.6.
Hours And Length Of Year

Classroom contact hours are from 8 : 00 AM‑4 : 00 AM, 5 days a week.Classes run September to June.8.

Providing reports for parents during parent‑teacher interviewsAttend faculty / committee meetings, school events, seasonal fairs, and in‑service training as requiredEnsure that all Equivalent Learning Outcome documentation is up to date as required by Alberta Education10.
