Optical Associate

Our FYiDoctors - Markham clinic is looking for an Optical Associate , a full‑time role working 30-40 hours per week. The clinic operates Monday to Saturday .

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients into the clinic, providing excellent customer service and fostering a positive patient experience
• Educating clients about the best eyewear choices for their lifestyle, ensuring they receive the best in value and quality
• Informing patients about advances in corrective eyewear solutions and assisting with the selection of frames to suit aesthetic and performance needs
• Interpreting optical prescriptions as written by an optometrist
• Performing frame and facial measurements to ensure correct fit and positioning, and carrying out repairs and adjustments for returning patients
• Placing contact lens orders and assisting with fittings
• Communicating with patients in person, by phone, and by email
• Billing patients, their medical service providers, and other third parties
• Managing appointment bookings, prescription printouts, billing, and payments

The expected starting compensation for this position is $18.92 - $22.29 per hour , based on experience, skills, and qualifications, with base pay as part of a comprehensive Total Rewards offering.
