Shift : Dayshift 7am to 3 : pm / Full-time
Location : Brampton, ON ( / 0renda)
Permanent after 3 months of probation

PRIMARY PURPOSE
Our client is a manufacturer of high-Speed Packaging Machinery, and the Junior machinist is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the machine shop by performing cutting of metal and basic bench work.
Reports To : Purchasing Manager
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Junior Machinist is responsible for producing mid-level components for assemblies and subassemblies
Bench Work
Manufacturing mid-level parts for assemblies and subassemblies
Cutting rails
Cutting belts
Cutting guides
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
Qualifications and Requirements :
Basic understanding of machining principles and techniques.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Familiarity with precision measuring instruments.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift materials.
High school degree or equivalent
Experience working with machine tools or mechanical assembly
Working knowledge of safety protocols
Apprenticeship or vocational training preferred
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients and customers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical
situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to
solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only
limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written,
oral, diagram, or schedule form.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Overtime as required.
