The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. Introduction

The Lands laboratory is developing lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) to deliver nucleic acids and small molecule therapeutics for a variety of disorders. We are seeking a creative, self-driven scientist to establish a flexible cell-based testing platform that will accelerate the discovery and optimization of next-generation LNPs. This is a unique opportunity to lead platform development, gain project management experience, and contribute to the advancement of RNA and nanoparticle therapeutics.

Responsabilities and Objectives

• Lead the development of a platform of multiple human cell models to test RNA and therapeutic delivery,
• Drive projects at the interface of cell biology, nanomedicine, and therapeutic delivery,
• Collaborate with a team equipped with advanced tools, including a robotics liquid handler, microfluidics systems, and LNP characterization platforms,
• Apply your expertise in human cell culture, downstream assays (inflammation, CFTR function, ciliary biology), and RNA production / delivery,
• Develop essential project management skills to coordinate platform development and collaborative studies.
