Senior Bridge Engineer

Job Description

We are actively seeking a technical engineer with infrastructure detailed design for our bridge team. The bridge team works collaboratively with our divisional team across Ontario.

Key Responsibilities :

• Leading in producing engineering products for bridge rehabilitation and new design projects from concept through construction to meet customer quality requirements.
• Complete detailed structural design calculations and analysis.
• Work independently and as part of a team to define problems, establish work scope, prepare budgets and schedules, plan the work, and provide technical direction and oversight.
• Prepare and check detailed engineering models, drawings, specifications, quantities, cost estimates, and technical reports.
• Develop and review designs for new bridges and bridge rehabilitation.
• Provide expertise and services related to the evaluation, inspection, and rehabilitation of transportation structures.
• Review cost estimates, specifications, and tender documents prepared by junior engineers.
• Coordinate and collaborate with other engineering disciplines and departments, including highway, foundation, environmental, drainage, and electrical.
• Maintain effective working relationships with clients.
• Perform project management duties, including assembling and managing project teams, controlling budgets and schedules, ensuring quality control, and managing client interactions.
• Provide input and technical guidance to CAD Designer / Drafters, Designers, and less experienced Engineers.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable codes and regulations.
