Job Overview

The Sanitation Supervisor leads the direction of sanitation operations including auditing, HACCP, food safety, assisting with GMP programs and the implementation of the Sanitation program. This includes the supervision of sanitation hourly employees on three shifts and interfacing between all departments to ensure plant sanitation requirements are achieved GNG sanitation standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for every aspect of the performance, safety, quality, documentation, and cost efficiency of the area(s) he / she is in charge of and reporting any abnormalities to the Production Manager
• Works closely with Quality Control to achieve the desired level of sanitation for adequate food processing
• Works closely with the Maintenance department to take care of, and address any maintenance related issues that arise or that would affect the production of healthy, sanitary products and building repairs
• Responsible for the coordination of the department – training of the crew and labour scheduling
• Manages the supply of necessary chemicals, supplies and equipment to perform all sanitation tasks as required
• Makes sound recommendations to improve productivity, solutions to issues affecting quality, and health and safety.
• Document departmental performance metrics, to include but not limited to : Direct Labour Hours, On-Time Delivery, Training Hours Conducted, errors per employee, employee productivity
• Motivate diverse workforce to continuous improvement in work efficiency, quality and safety goals
