2nd Class Power Engineer (Meadow Lake, SK)

Our client is seeking a 2nd Class Power Engineer for a permanent role in Meadow Lake, SK! Reporting to the Steam & Recovery Manager and conductingcrew supervision, the Shift Engineer is responsible for ensuring safe andefficient operation of the Steam & Recovery plant while helping to optimize mill production,quality and operating costs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all equipment is maintained and operated in a safeand efficient manner
• Ensure processes are operated in compliance withenvironmental procedures
• Incident investigations, audits, and safety checklists areproperly reported and action items are completed on time
• Perform administrative functions, including scheduling,completing logbooks, and managing attendance
• Participate in departmental projects, as required
• Coordinate the day to day and shutdown maintenance forSteam and Recovery department
• Mentor, direct and train operators so they can safely andefficiently perform their duties
