The CNC Shop Team Lead is a hands-on leader responsible for overseeing daily operations in the CNC machining department. This role supports production goals by setting up and operating various CNC machines, mentoring team members, and ensuring high-quality, efficient machining practices. The Team Lead also serves as the point of contact when the Machine Shop Supervisor is unavailable. As the Team Lead, you will be leading a team of 8 machinists / operators.

Schedule : Monday - Friday

2 : 10 PM - 10 : 40 PM

Requirements

• Interpret complex manufacturing drawings and technical specifications.
• Set up and operate a range of CNC machines, including :
• Okuma MB5000H
• Mazak QTN 350-II
• Mazak VCN-530C
• Doosan MX2500 LST
• Train and mentor both new and existing machinists to ensure consistent work quality and safety.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance and calibration on CNC equipment and tooling.
• Troubleshoot and resolve routine CNC machining issues to maintain production flow.
• May perform CNC programming tasks to support afternoon shift needs.
• Execute daily production plans as directed by scheduling and leadership.
• Work independently while adhering to standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
• Monitor and report on daily department performance and production metrics.
• Ensure all required paperwork and documentation is completed accurately and submitted on time.
• Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate additional support as required.
• Provide leadership coverage and act as the department lead in the absence of the CNC Supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned by your manager.
