THE OPPORTUNITY: SOLUTIONS ANALYST (INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT D)

In this position you will:

• Perform requirement gathering with internal and external groups to determine project requirements and develop solutions.
• Review and analyze IT systems and processes to identify effectiveness and efficiency and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
• Implement and support ERP systems integration data workflow configurations and system integrations.
• Collaborate with Finance Employee Services and other departments to identify ERP requirements resolve integration issues and optimize business processes.
• Prepare solution documentation with detailed resource and completion estimates.
• Plan solutions utilizing modern coding methodologies and technologies.
• Establish standards and procedures and write specifications scripts and documentation for technical architecture and systems.
• Prepare and execute detailed plans for complex multi-functional projects.
• Research and analyze emerging trends in technology and systems architecture evaluate alternatives and make recommendations.
• Develop and deliver training workshops for technical and end user audiences.
• Liaise with stakeholders LIT teams vendors contractors and other third parties as required to support district services.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to service stakeholders and colleagues on service solutions and technical environments.
• Provide IT support to the District and IT Department.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Completion of grade 12 plus more than 2 years full time equivalent post-secondary education in a relevant technology discipline.
• Minimum six (6) years of progressive experience in information technology.
• Experience working in a K-12 education organization an asset.
• Proficiency in software and web development methodologies including requirements gathering and specification drafting.
• Advanced expertise in solutions analysis data architecture and full cycle application development using modern programming languages.
• Strong knowledge of Office 365 Power Platform tools (Power BI Power Automate and Power Apps) along with a solid understanding of ERP systems (PeopleSoft and Oracle) including system integration workflows and data development.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and experience in designing/delivering presentations.
• Must be able to meet the following assessment: Hands-on 1hour series of tasks/problems (70%).

COMPENSATION

The base salary for this position is $82464 plus a comprehensive benefits package including Municipal Pension Plan Vancouver Employee Savings Plan Extended Health Dental Group Life Long Term Disability Vacation & Gratuity Days. Pre-approved overtime hours are paid as double-time ($90.62/hour).
