This Opportunity :
Durham College is seeking a contract IT Project Manager (PM) in the IT Services department. Reporting to the Director, ICT Infrastructure, the Project Manager is responsible for overseeing IT infrastructure projects.
Information Technology Services (IT Services) is the central IT division of Durham College providing shared IT services to both the college and Ontario Tech (Ontario Tech University).
This is a contract role from August 1,2024 to March 31,2025 with the possibility of extension. This role works 40 hours per week and will be paid $115,000 annually.
The contract IT PM will be responsible for managing major IT infrastructure projects, including a cloud-based initiative related to Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure roadmap, telecommunication and network related projects.
Experience in this space is a must for this position.
The successful candidate must have a minimum of (10) years of IT project management experience, a minimum of (12) years of progressive work experience in the IT sector, and a minimum of (7) years of experience managing IT infrastructure projects in an enterprise environment.
The candidate will possess a relevant four (4) year degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related of formal Project Management training, PMI certification or equivalent is required.
The incumbent should also be able demonstrate that they have kept their skills and knowledge up to date through professional activities and / or additional formal training.
The incumbent must have experience procuring information technology and information technology services.
