New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking an Intermediate Network Analyst to help our client with delivery of projects to upgrade network equipment in communication rooms within the Lower Mainland.
Responsibilities :
- Replace core switches, including migration of settings from legacy to new
- Replace edge switches, including migration of settings from legacy to new
- Configure routing, firewall and NAT policies on internet firewalls
- Coordinate with vendor to replace a legacy Metro circuit with a new CE circuit
- Support the vendor pre-field, staging, and implementation activities for circuit replacement
- Coordinate vendor decommissioning of legacy metro circuit
- Site preparation for installation(s)
- Provide support with additional hardware components related to the work above
- Physical labour related to the work above
- Provide network implementation / production cutover services outside of normal business hours, as required
Requirements :
4+ years of recent data networking experienceThree (3) years of demonstrated experience with network equipment implementation / planning, site assessments, application of network standards and network issue problem-solving / troubleshootingExperience with replacement / migration of core and edge switchesExperience managing firewallsExperience with network implementation and production cutover servicesDiploma in a program such as communications technology plus appropriate vendor network certificationIf you have this expertise, and are able to work in Canada, please submit your resume.
