As the Lead Data Integration Specialist, you will lead various initiatives by engineering data solutions for analytics purposes while also supporting the team through coaching using insurance data and advanced programming tools. You will be responsible for providing business value through the creation; maintenance; implementation of back-end data solutions (ie. Source System Data Store & Business Data Store) through the full software development lifecycle and effectively communicate said value to a business audience.

How you will create impact

• Autonomously design and build physical data models and schemas from conceptual and business data models and requirements.
• Lead the design of analytic solutions, working with architects and solution designers and take responsibility for the work of junior resources.
• Define and promote designs of analytic solutions, considering scalability, automation, security, long-term maintainability and performance.
• Autonomously design data projects by breaking complex problems or high-level business objectives into smaller problems that can be addressed using data and lead the design of data engineering solutions, working with BI architects.
• Define and promote design principles based on the solution (ex : REST API) and best practice in terms of data handling (ex : security, governance), the SDLC (ex : unit testing), production code standards and meeting SLAs (ex : low latency responses).
• Be accountable that the outcome of the projects you lead meet the business objectives.
• Autonomously make recommendations and influence the audience towards an outcome.
