Quality Leader (Manager or Director) - QA & QC

Industrial Rotating Equipment Manufacturing, Distribution & Servicing

Our established industrial manufacturing and servicing client with operations is looking to significantly enhance its Quality Management programs and performance across 3 entities on multiple sites in Canada, the USA. To lead this QA transformation our client is looking for an exceptional Quality Leader to proactively guide and progress QA programs to achieve measurable improvements in quality and other key operating results. Likely someone North American-based who has proven QA Program development and continual improvement leadership expertise.

Ideal Quality Leader candidates will likely have many of the following attributes :

10+ years progressive Quality technical & leadership skills & experience - ideally some within rotating equipment manufacturing settings (eg, medical devices or industrial compressors or pumps)

A technical or maths-related degree(s) would be highly desired, e g, Engineering, Physics, Sciences, Statistics,

Progressive and proven QA Program development expertise :

conducting process & product investigations, including how manufacturing & supply chains contribute to failures;

Lead corrective and preventative actions and SOPs;

Augment procurement, vendor qualification & management (performance management) into the Quality Management System

Some QA experience with foundry work, metallurgy and / or machining (eg CNC) would also be an asset but not essential

Experience leading & / or developing quality assurance management ISO 9001 system(s) or equivalent - bonus also leading successful ISO 9001 Registration / Certification

Effectively managing a compliant ISO 9001 system

Good coaching and mentoring abilities with shop floor and supervisor staff, and some proven influencing skills with senior executives

You build and foster strong, trusting relationships - along with solid communication skills
