We are seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist to join our Protein Engineering team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Your goal will be to execute and optimize the use of mammalian library-based approaches for antibody and antigen engineering. If you have extensive experience in mammalian cell biology, genetic engineering, cell culture systems, and the screening / analysis of genetic libraries, we’d love to hear from you. Responsibilities

• Collaborating with your cross-functional teammates to develop and implement mammalian library screening approaches to engineer antibodies and protein antigens for therapeutic development purposes
• Contributing hands-on to multiple aspects of screening, including library design and delivery, assay development and implementation, data analysis, and interpretation
• Organizing, supporting, and collaborating with other team members to meet project deliverables and timelines
• Training and mentoring scientists
• Preparing materials to inform teammates and communicate strategies, key findings, and implications

Qualifications

What we offer

AbCellera’s hiring range for this role is CAD $73,600 - $92,000 annually, commensurate with your education and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base salary, we offer a 6% (non-match) RRSP contribution, a CAD $1,500 annual Active Lifestyle Allowance, annual vacation, and comprehensive health benefits.
