Nanny Wanted - Warm Family Seeking Energetic Nanny/Housekeeper For Toddlers

Job Title : Part-Time Nanny & Housekeeper (Potential for Full-Time) – Oshawa, ON

Start Date : Immediately

Wage : $20 / hour during 2-week trial (negotiable after trial)

We are a warm, busy family in Oshawa looking for a caring, reliable, and energetic nanny-housekeeper to join our home.

You’ll mostly help with two toddlers (ages 3 and 2) and occasionally support our older children (ages 9 and 10).

Both parents work from home, and the household includes extended family, so we value someone who’s a team player, comfortable in a lively environment, and ready to help wherever needed.

Responsibilities

Care for and engage two toddlers : follow daily routines, support potty training, ensure healthy meals, and create fun, age-appropriate learning activities.

Help older kids with homework, organization, and enrichment activities.

Perform light housekeeping : vacuuming, mopping, laundry, washrooms, and general tidying.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized home environment.

Work collaboratively with family members, balancing childcare and housekeeping as needed.

Requirements

Background in Early Childhood Education (ECE), teaching, or child development.

Previous experience with toddlers and school-aged children.

Organized, punctual, and proactive.

Warm, imaginative, and gentle approach with children (familiar with How to Talk So Kids Will Listen and The Whole-Brain Child philosophies is a plus).

Follows household hygiene practices : no perfume / scents, handwashing upon entry, clean clothes, and indoor slippers only.

Comfortable working around extended family members.

References and background check required.

Driver’s license and experience are an asset.

Possible travel (domestic or international) but not mandatory.

Compensation

2-week trial at $20 / hour, followed by pay review based on performance and experience.
