How you’ll contribute

The Heat Road Technician is a gasfitter journeyperson who provides on‑site installation, service and repair of climate equipment to help our customers get the job done right. With safety at the forefront, we inspect, test, and diagnose electrical, propane, and natural gas heaters for repair and / or regular maintenance. Responsibilities include :

• Diagnose and repair natural gas, propane, diesel, and electric‑fired heaters.
• Drive safely to customer sites to perform onsite repairs.
• Ensure all equipment is rental‑ready and meets set quality and safety standards and ensures all equipment is in working order on customer sites.
• Follow the appropriate checklist and procedures. Can read and refer to owners’ manuals and schematics.
• Operate and test equipment (under actual operating conditions, if possible).
• Provide guidance to Service Technicians on the appropriate service / repairs required.
• Assist in making decisions related to equipment retirement.
• Possess excellent product knowledge and can effectively transfer this knowledge to customers. This includes explaining features and benefits, safe operating techniques and promoting related accessories / products.
• Ensure every customer is treated in a fair and consistent manner, resolving issues as they arise.
• Follow all paperwork and computer procedure related to servicing of equipment.
• Maintain all inventory control documents to preserve the integrity of the Rental Management computer system.
