The location in Port Alberni, BC , is seeking talent to fill the position of Business Analyst .

This job is permanent and full-time.

Job Responsibilities / Accountabilities :

The Business Analyst reports to the controller and is accountable for the efficient delivery and reporting of financial information.

The Business Analyst plays a key role in month-end processes and related accounting assignments. This position participates in key initiatives and provides manufacturing cost, operating and financial analysis to support business decisions.

The Business Analyst also plays a key role in the development of the annual operating plans for the mills. Strong leadership, communication, and variance analysis skills are vital to this position, as is the ability to build a working knowledge of the mill’s cost structure and processes.

Key skills and duties assigned to this role include :

Production setting.

Required Processional Experience / Qualification :

A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent

3-5 years of similar experience

CPA designation is an asset.

Salary Rate : $79,000 to $96,000 per annum (actual salary offer will be commensurate with education, experience, and internal parity).
