As a tutor for Cosmo 1:1 you will have a flexible and consistent schedule that you set. We teach math, ELA, and SAT classes and provide learning plans for our tutors to use.

This is a perfect opportunity for experienced educators to connect with students in an after‑school setting. You will meet with your students at a set time each week for 50‑minute 1‑on‑1 lessons, building a welcoming and fun learning environment as you help them grow. Reliability and a passionate, kind demeanor are essential.

Base rate: $20 CAD plus additional incentives and bonuses.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized 1‑on‑1 instruction for your students
• Update your availability in the Cosmo App promptly
• Prepare appropriate lesson materials tailored to the student’s age and ability
• Submit class feedback after each lesson
• Communicate with parents and students professionally
• Attend all classes on time and in a professional setting
• Communicate with Cosmo staff as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 3+ years of experience teaching grades K‑12 in math, ELA, or SAT prep
• Experience with K‑12 ELA/Math standards
• Teaching license preferred but not required
• Fast and reliable internet connection and a Windows or Mac PC with a minimum CPU of 6000
• Able to commit to a minimum of 6 months of teaching with Cosmo 1:1
• Available between 6‑9 AM EST or 3‑10 PM EST on Monday‑Friday or weekends
• Minimum of 20 hours of availability per week
• Access to a private and quiet location
• Passion for helping students learn
• Currently located in the United States or Canada
• Approachable, patient, adaptive, considerate, enthusiastic, and reliable qualities as described in the original list
