POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for a Development Services Technician to join our team! We require a positive team member with strong communication, conflict resolution skills, and superior customer service orientation. In this dynamic position, the successful incumbent will be part of a team providing direct in person service to customers with a variety of technical enquiries regarding planning, building, and engineering related bylaws from residents, builders, and professionals in the development industry. You will be responsible for reviewing and processing various documents relating to permits, applications, building inspections and approvals, scheduling inspections, creating and maintaining data files and systems, and providing administrative support for the effective operation of the Planning and Building department.

DESIRABLE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
High school graduation supplemented by introductory technical courses related to the work, plus considerable related experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
