The United Church of Canada is seeking an individual to fill the role of Digital Marketing Coordinator in the Organizational Development and Strategy Unit, Communications Department on a permanent full-time basis (35 hours / week).
Within the United Church the General Council Office supports the mission and ministry of the communities of faith and regional councils. It is the denominational expression of The United Church of Canada, working ecumenically and in global partnership.
The Organizational Development and Strategy (ODS) Unit supports the General Council Office in the development, execution, and communication of its vision and strategic priorities. The unit helps shape the public face of The United Church of Canada, contributing to the denomination’s principled presence supporting bold witness in the public square, and strengthening invitation to the church across the country and its ministries. It assists in nourishing congregations, supporting regional councils, advancing the national program, and contributing to the effectiveness of the church. The Unit houses the General Council Office planning function (strategic and operational), reporting and evaluation; a Communications Department of subject matter experts who ensure alignment in key messaging; and a Department of staff dedicated to the church’s overarching priority of Growth, who work with the regions to cultivate innovation, strengthen existing congregations toward transformation, and seed and grow new communities of faith. The Unit also houses Ministries in French.
The Digital Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day planning, execution, and subject matter support (as required) of the digital consumer journey, web presence, campaigns, lead generation, and email programs to support the overall operational objectives of The United Church of Canada. They manage niche social media channels and work with other staff to plan, create, and implement large social media campaigns and online marketing initiatives.
The primary areas of responsibility are :
Producing and coordinating social media content : Manage the bookstore social platforms and contribute to the United Church of Canada social media channels independently on a variety of social media platforms through planning, writing posts, sourcing and creating graphics, reels, and stories, responding to followers, and reporting.
Producing online content, coordinating campaigns and reporting on analytics : Plan, coordinate, and implement website updates and enhancements; Assist with content creation for websites, email marketing, and other digital channels;
Producing direct e-mail campaigns and newsletters and communications : Plan, write, coordinate and deploy UCRD and United in Learning E-newsletters; as well as other mass email communications.

The United Church of Canada has adopted a hybrid workplace model, providing flexibility for this position, working both off-site and in the General Council Office, currently located at 3250 Bloor Street West in Toronto, ON. The incumbent will be provided, for work purposes, use of secure devices and must be available by email, phone, teams or zoom during regular office hours Monday to Friday. Viewing a computer screen for long periods, keyboarding or keyboarding using assistive software or technologies, intermittent physical activity including sitting, standing, and being on the phone for long periods of time is expected. Attendance in meetings at the General Council Office and occasional additional hours may be required.

Compensation
The target hiring range for this position is $49,462.23 to $56,372.63 with the ability to progress to a maximum of $65,950.05. This is based on category 4 on our salary range. Placement on the salary range will be based on factors such as market condition, internal equity, candidate experience skills and qualifications relevant to the role. Pension and group benefit plans coverage and annual vacation round out this compensation package.
