Sales & Use Tax

• Prepare sales & use tax returns and ensure accurate, timely state filings.

Personal Property Tax

• Prepare personal property tax returns for customer leases and Pattison ID and coordinate with relevant jurisdictions.
• Manage personal property tax assessments, including reviewing assessments, inputting data into tax software, reconciling values, and coordinating with taxing authorities.
• Handle the payment of tax bills, ensuring deadlines are met and proper documentation is maintained.
• Maintain accurate documentation and workpapers for all tax filings.
• Assist with tax notices, audits, and correspondence with tax authorities.

Tax Accounting & Reporting

• Perform month-end accounting functions related to tax, including reconciliations, journal entries, and data preparation for year-end reporting.
• Run monthly lease tax exposure reports and analyze results for accuracy and completeness.

Process Improvement & Administration

• Identify and recommend process improvements that streamline workflows and reduce overall workload.
• Research federal, state, and local tax issues.
• Offer advice on tax compliance requirements and tax‑efficient decision‑making.

Collaboration & Relationship Management

• Collaborate with finance, legal, sales and leasing departments.
• Build and maintain strong relationships while providing ongoing support.
• Maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive information.
