Minimum Qualifications
- Has relevant license or certifications, skills and experiences directly relevant to the job specification (property management experience, painting, plumbing, carpentry and renovations, pre-trades)
- Demonstrate practical abilities and general maintenance and working knowledge of plumbing, heating, electrical and carpentry trades.
- Physically able to perform duties and responsibilities
- Must provide a clear Police Broad Records Check (Criminal Reference Check)
- Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence (Class G) with a safe driving record
- Strong oral / written communication skills, problem-solving and organizational skills
- Computer competency (Microsoft Office)
- French language is an asset
Overview of Responsibilities / Duties
Reports directly and is accountable to the Executive Director / designateOversees the repair, upkeep and maintenance of an organization’s assets and properties.Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate construction projectsCollaborate with vendors and contractors, and coordinate with tenants, to expedite completion of workMaintain building systems by contracting for repairs and service, and prepare specifications for competitive bids on larger maintenance projects and service agreementsManage daily property requirements and plan capital improvements by regularly inspecting properties for damage and inefficienciesPerform grounds work, including but not limited to grass cutting, hedge trimming, pruning, planting flowers / weeding, raking, snow blowing, etc.Adheres to Occupational Health and Safety requirementsEnsure compliance with Public Health Inspector, Fire Inspections, etc.Maintain accurate records regarding preventative maintenance, work orders, inventories and purchase ordersOccasional emergency on-callSCHEDULE
Permanent Full-Time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9-5 PM
ANNUAL SALARY RANGE
$68,000-$74,000
