Role : Developer - Emerging Technologies (Big Data, Mobile, Cloud, RPA) - GCP Cloud Engineer

Job Type : Contract

Candidate Requirements / Must Have Skills :

5+ years of experience managing a public cloud platform (GCP, Azure, or AWS) with expertise in Foundational and Data services.
3+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, including best practices for access control and least-privilege policies.
5+ years of DevOps experience, building CI / CD pipelines with tools like GitHub and Artifactory.
10+ years of IT experience in managing and developing scalable, reliable, and secure applications or platforms.
2+ years of experience with cloud-managed Data and Analytics services, including data warehousing, lakes, ETL, machine learning, or data governance.
5+ years of programming experience in Python, Go, or Java, and scripting skills (shell, Python, Perl, Ansible).

Nice-To-Have Skills :

Experience managing Hadoop clusters (Cloudera, Dataproc, Hortonworks).

GCP Cloud Associate certification (desirable).

Experience with Docker, including registry management and creating Dockerfiles.

Experience setting up Kubernetes or similar platforms, on-premises or cloud.

Soft Skills :

Authentic, decisive, resilient, collaborative, curious, results-oriented.

Excellent writing, research, presentation, and project management skills.

Strong problem-solving skills and team support capabilities.

Effective communication skills (verbal and written).

Self-managed, results-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership.

Education & Certificates :

Degree in Mathematics, Science, Engineering, Management, or relevant field.

Best vs. Average Candidate :

The ideal candidate has hands-on Terraform experience, implementation skills on AWS, Azure, or GCP, is thorough, knowledgeable, a self-starter, and takes pride in their work.
