Our valued public sector client is hiring a Computer Applications Support Specialist to support the revitalization of a Microsoft and SharePoint Online environment.

Background :

The organization is undertaking a major modernization of its Microsoft and SharePoint Online platforms to improve information management, collaboration, and operational efficiency. This initiative requires enhanced assessment, redesign, and documentation to better support business users and streamline internal processes. Due to the accelerated pace and increased workload, a dedicated specialist is needed to assist with stakeholder engagement, platform configuration, and the development of a modernized information management structure.

Tasks :

• Conduct a structured assessment of the existing Microsoft and SharePoint Online environment, including architecture, data structures, and performance gaps.
• Document current governance practices, site structures, permissions, and standard operating procedures.
• Lead stakeholder engagement sessions to gather requirements, identify pain points, and understand operational workflows.
• Translate business needs into technical requirements and functional design specifications.
• Support the redesign and configuration of SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, workflows, and related components.
• Assist with feature enhancements, configuration updates, and alignment of the platform with business processes.
• Contribute to improved information architecture, data cleanup, and stabilization activities.
• Support the development of updated governance frameworks, policies, and IM best practices.
• Create training materials, user documentation, and deliver basic training sessions to support adoption of the enhanced environment.
