Job Scope

Under the direction and supervision of Shop Manager, the Shop Assistant will assist with all non‑specialized facets of product realization including (but not limited to) prep work, machine operation, parts inspection, tool assembly, housekeeping, material packaging & handling, and other duties as required. The Shop Assistant will also be responsible for upholding company / product quality expectations and maintaining any tools & equipment used in the course of their work.

Duties

• Assist in the preparation of materials for various sand control machines and inspection of completed components.
• Handling of tubulars (casing) and other materials using forklift and overhead crane to load / unload shop and machines.
• Operate band saw, shop press, drill press, phosphate tanks, pipe handling equipment, overhead & jib cranes and other shop equipment as required.
• Tool assembly which may include the use of hand tools, power tools and vices as required.
• Upkeep and preventative maintenance of equipment.
• General shop duties to include housekeeping and other duties as assigned.
• Work in conjunction with the QA / QC to ensure a consistent and quality product.
• Follow all company health and safety policies. Conduct day‑to‑day work in a safe manner.
