As a Field Mechanic for mobile cranes, you will support client equipment in Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan, providing exceptional Liebherr customer service directly at client sites. You will ensure all tasks are carried out with high quality and client satisfaction. Equipped with Liebherr OEM training and access to state-of-the-art equipment, you will be perfectly prepared to excel in this role.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, inspect, and diagnose Liebherr machinery and components, including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, engines, and drivetrains, to resolve moderate to complex issues.
- Perform preparation of new and used machinery, scheduled maintenance, repairs, or overhauls, typically requiring component replacements, commissioning, and adjustment of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic equipment, including warranty upgrades.
- Recondition and repair assigned equipment components and systems.
- Conduct pre-delivery inspections and prepare new and used equipment.
- Occasionally service Liebherr machinery as directed, including checking and sampling fluids, oil and filter checks, changing lubricants, replacing filters, and greasing lubrication points.
- Ensure that components, materials, and / or equipment are inspected and corrected to specifications, and that delivery schedules are met.
- Carry out all final verifications as specified in work instructions, scope of work, verbal instructions, and specifications.
- Accurately and promptly submit reports and technical documents, including service reports.
- Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in accordance with company policies.
Competencies
Valid drivers license & availability to travel regularly (up to two weeks per month to other provinces)Possession of a Heavy Equipment Journeyperson / Red Seal certification.Consideration given to 3rd or 4th year heavy equipment apprentices.A minimum of 3+ years experience in heavy equipment.Experience with mobile cranes is considered an asset.Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.Strong skills in diagnosing and resolving complex issues with machinery and their components.Our Offer
