Marketing and Business Development Researcher

On behalf of our client in the Professional Services Sector, PROCOM is looking for a Marketing and Business Development Researcher.

Marketing and Business Development Researcher – Job Description

You will also assist in the development of marketing strategies and plans, specifically working closely with product marketing managers, addressing key segments and business priorities to drive valuable and actionable insights

Conduct research on market conditions in specific areas and analyze customer preferences to identify key insights and determine potential growth opportunities as it relates to customers, product / service, pricing and positioning improvements as well as go to market / campaign performance

In addition to research expertise, the ability to work in a cross-functional team, build relationships and communicate effectively are key qualities for this role

Identifying knowledge gaps, finding creative ways to solve questions Working collaboratively in cross-functional teams Building clear compelling stories to share insights

Serve as the market reference for market and customer research working closely with craft leads (brand and innovation, product marketing, retention, e-commerce, content & comms / social)

Complete different research tasks and analyze raw data, conduct assessments, surveys, and other research to obtain valuable information on the market

Conduct in-person, telephone, and online assessments to gather opinions on the products and services offered by their company

Gather data on competitors and past sales to analyze prices and methods of marketing and distribution

Create detailed research reports and generate conclusions based on their findings

Strive to communicate results and illustrate suggestions in compelling and creative ways

Track and analyze marketing and sales trends, forecasts and prepare reports in order to measure the effectiveness of programs

Marketing and Business Development Researcher – Mandatory Skills

5-7 years of market research or insights experience with Qualitative and Quantitative market research tools and methods

Experience with MS Office (Excel, PPT) and Google Suite

Experience collaborating with third party vendors to construct research

Experience working with third party vendors for recruitment of research participants

Experience preparing presentations and sharing out research results to the broader team

Proactive with asking questions and following up

Experience with Qualitative and Quantitative market research tools and methods Experience collaborating with third party vendors to construct research

Marketing and Business Development Researcher - Nice to Have Skills

SPSS experience is a plus

Experience in the financial services industry is a plus
