Position Overview :

Reporting to the VP Manufacturing and Engineering, the Master Scheduler / Material Planner’s role is to translate sales and forecast requirements into a Master Production Schedule (MPS), to maximize customer service and optimize overall supply planning, capacity processes, and costs. The Master Scheduler / Material Planner is responsible for all aspects planning and coordinating the Master Production Schedule, including management of planning systems up to transition to shop floor execution. The position requires close interaction with, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering and Quality personnel. This is a customer facing role requiring excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities :

• Establish and maintain valid master production schedules and support validation of material plans.
• Maintain and provide feedback on demand forecast for various customers
• Liaise with internal and external suppliers / customers on all aspects of supply and demand
• Perform advanced MRP activities to meet customer requirements, optimize production efficiency and ensure product delivery
• Analyse and respond to internal / external modifiers or influencers to the MPS Restate commitments having offered, reviewed and resolved with input from Operations staff and Management
• Lead Improvement initiatives and other cross functional teams.
• Maintain status reports and relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPI”s)
• Balance production load in accordance with shop capacity, forecasts and staffing plans
• Work with production and supporting departments to identify and respond to potential risks in meeting supply demands
• Co-ordinate engineering change implementation
• Provide key input and participation to the development and execution of the Sales and Operations process

Salary Range

$65,000 - $75,000
