FuzeHR is now seeking a Manufacturing Systems Test Engineer for a permanent, on-site opportunity in Burnaby, BC! As a Manufacturing Systems Test Engineer , you’ll be at the heart of our product lifecycle—ensuring our smart grid solutions are robust, manufacturable, and ready for high-volume production. Reporting to the Manager of Manufacturing Engineering, you’ll be the bridge between product development and manufacturing, driving excellence in test engineering and product delivery.

What are the Responsibilities?

Design and implement cutting-edge manufacturing test strategies, systems, and software

Champion Design for Testability across all product releases

Lead engineering change processes, ensuring seamless integration from design to production

Collaborate with electronics manufacturing service providers to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges

Provide remote support for manufacturing test issues

Evaluate and onboard top-tier vendors for quality and commercial alignment

Build and nurture strong relationships with key suppliers and partners

Drive manufacturing quality audits and ensure product excellence through rigorous testing

Mentor and guide junior engineers, technologists, technicians, and interns

Coordinate daily operations within the Manufacturing Team

Travel occasionally to partner sites and development hubs (1–2 times / year)

What are the Requirements?

Diploma or B.A.Sc. in Electrical / Electronic Engineering (or equivalent)

EGBC registration / eligibility as an EIT

4+ years of hands-on experience in electronic manufacturing or related industries

Deep understanding of electronics manufacturing processes and test strategies

Strong foundation in math, physics, and first-principles design

Proficiency in interpreting schematics and Bills of Materials

Experience with LabView and TestStand for test development

Skilled in Microsoft Office, Windows OS installation, and PC hardware configuration

Familiarity with Linux installation and configuration

Preferred Experience :

Expertise in board-level and system / box-level manufacturing and testing

Knowledge of data collection and statistical process control for yield / failure analysis

Experience with Linux-based networking and security

Familiarity with change control processes
