Job Description

Giant Tiger Wholesale is looking to hire a permanent part-time Warehouse Order Picker Associate for our distribution centre in Brockville, Ontario! Giant Tiger can offer paid training and certification on brand new Raymond equipment, cross training and mentorship in various warehouse departments, full medical and dental benefits, and a store discount.

Starting wage of $19.43 / hour!

Additional $2 / hour for hours worked 9 : 00pm - 6 : 00am

Automatic milestone wage increases at 1040 hours, 2080 hours, 4160 hours and annually after that;

Order Picker Highlights :

  • Pick store orders in accordance to the pick label, focusing on accuracy;
  • Pile various size boxes onto skids, ensuring neat, safe, and secure piles;
  • Lift boxes with a weight range of 1 - 50 pounds;
  • Operate an electric pallet truck capable of pulling 2 skids at a time. Identify picked skids with pallet tags indicating store number, picker name, and total quantity of skids;
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety and comply with Ontario Safety and Health Act (OSHA) and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) standards;
  • Various warehouse duties, as prescribed by the supervisor.

Order Picker Job Requirements :

  • Completion of High School;
  • Experience as an Order Picker or a similar position;
  • Must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time;
  • Must be able to lift heavy items for extended periods of time;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Must be comfortable working in a cold environment, as low as -18◦ Celsius, for extended periods.
