Located adjacent to Thunderbird School, a Nursery to Grade 10 school with approximately 270 students. It is located in South Indian Lake, which is a community with a population of approximately 1000 people.

It is located 130 air-kilometers northwest of Thompson, MB. Road access into South Indian Lake is approximately 327 kms, year round gravel road and a short ferry ride.

This lakeside town offers community services such as a grocery store, health complex and a community hall.
