HUB International is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join our well-respected HR team. We want someone who thrives being in a client centric role and has the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be exposed to a variety of HR initiatives and projects and champion efficient and effective processes. We work as a team to get things done!
The Responsibilities
Annual Cycles
Support the delivery of various annual HR cycles such as merit review, performance reviews, goal setting, bonus administration, etc.Maintain HR calendar of annual events and ensure timelines are metEmployee Life Cycle :
Coordinate, and process employee events such as : Transfer, Promotion, Change in hours / work schedule, conclusion packages, Compensation changes, Disability / LOA’sOversee employee offboarding including conducting employee exit interviewsAdminister the Leave Management process, including : Facilitating the STD process and tracking Educating employees on STD process and forms (Assist when needed)Complete and send the employer statement form to Canada LifeEnsure Workday records are up to datePartner with Canada Life, managers, employee and HRBP on the coordination of GRTW’sHR Administration and Support
Advise and educate employees regarding company programs, benefits and policies;Ensure that all Human Resource forms, policies, manuals etc. are up-to-dateLead company-wide HR initiatives such as : Service Awards, Employee of the Year, Rising Star, Employee Appreciation Day, etc.Oversee the HR mailbox and respond to inquiriesEnhance and maintain the HR SharePoint pageAct as back up for payroll audit and processingAct as backup for HRBPs as requiredData and Reporting
Compile and analyze reporting requests using Excel, Workday, Survey Monkey and / or PowerBIHealth, Wellness & Engagement :
Understand and champion : Diversity, equity & inclusion initiatives.Wellness Initiatives.Employee engagement initiatives.Benefits
Liaise with HUB’s corporate Canadian benefits team to administer benefit changes and annual open enrollment processFacilitate and approve Workday benefit changesAnswer general employee benefit inquiriesActively participate in the Joint Health and Safety CommitteeHR Projects
Work with the Vice President, Human Resources and other team members on ad hoc HR projectsCollaborate with the Corporate and Super Region HUB HR teams on special projects as necessaryAdditional duties and responsibilities as assignedThe Requirements
2+ years of HR experienceKnowledge of HR best practices and regulations, including BC Employment Standards Act and Human Rights LegislationDiploma in Human Resource Management or equivalent combination of education and experience preferredInsurance industry experience / knowledge is an assetAbility and flexibility to travel to various offices and locations within the lower mainlandA reliable team-playerAbility to work in a fast-paced environment juggling multiple prioritiesExceptional attention to detail and well organizedExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPrevious experience with Workday.Experienced administration professional with a passion for getting things done as efficiently as possible.Who are we?
